Malleswaram Grounds close to our homes where more than 20 cricket teams of boys played together jostling for space next to each other Malleswaram association where Chess tournaments were played and we could stand and observe Grandmasters like Raja Raviskhar, Manuel Aaron, Praveen thipsay and Parameswaran play and smoke heavily as well!( I mean them!!) Malleswaram 8th cross and shopping- we used to shop in Mithra bazaar, visit Ganapathi temple, rayara math, kannika pramaeshwari temple and of course the Janatha Hotel for Masala Dosa and Vada Malleswaram circle to 8th cross on Sampige road replete with shops-Book shops like Anantha and Sons, Dwaraka pen center, small Shirdi sai temple,, Atma stores and my favorite books library -Shankar book bank near 7th cross.
